Archbishop Thomas Donnellan purchases 10.28 acres in Snellville, GA Fr. Terence Kane appointed as first pastor. The first Sunday mass celebrated by Fr. Kane and 350 Catholics
Archbishop Tom Donnellan The Georgia Bulletin announced that a new parish was being established in Snellville, GA.

Fr. Terrence Kane officially installed as first pastor of St. Oliver Plunkett Church by Archbishop Donnellan. The rectory was purchased, where all daily masses were celebrated for the next three years.

Ground breaking ceremonies held for the new 14,000 square foot parish complex. New parish complex dedicated by Archbishop Donnellan. Ordination of Deacon John Ciala at St. Oliver's by Archbishop Donnellan Founding pastor Fr. Kane transferred. Fr. Joseph Beltran assigned as new pastor.

Burning of the first mortgage on the feast of St. Olver Plunkett was celebrated by the parish family. Fr. Thomas Carroll & Fr. Michael Flanagan, missionaries of Our Lady of Lasalette, assigned to St. Oliver's. Archbishop John Donoghue of Atlanta participates in ground breaking ceremonies for the new sanctuary.

Dedication service for the new religious education building. Fr. Carroll retires and Fr. Hasler takes his place as pastor. Fr. James Henault becomes St. Oliver's fifth pastor. Joining him is Fr. Leo and later Fr. Peter Fr. Neil Jones replaces Fr. Peter.

New ballfield is dedicated. Deacon Al was ordained. Three adjacent properties are purchased to provide room for future expansion. The house next door becomes the Adult Education Center, whereas the house across the street becomes the residence of Fr. Juan DeLa Cruz and also the rotating quarters of Family Promise.
