Purpose The St. Oliver Preschool is a tuition based, self-supporting, non-profit school responsible to the Pastor and the Parish Council. It’s ministry is to provide the best conditions possible to promote each child’s mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical growth; to strengthen their capacity to establish healthy, and meaningful relationships with other children their own age; to find joy and satisfaction in creative work; and to respect themselves and others. Each child’s religion and ethnic background are fully respected. |

Classes The Two and Three-year-old classes meet from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each class day. The four-year-old class meets Monday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. On Wednesday’s, children from the 4-year-old class bring their lunch for extended day. Children must be 2, 3, or 4 years of age by September 1st to enroll in the program that school year. We ask that all children in the 3 and 4-year-old classes be potty trained. |

Extended Day Opportunity The cost of extended day is included in the tuition for all children in the 4-year-old class. |

Music and Movement Classes Music and Movement class is provided for every class for 20-30 minutes every Wednesday. |

Computer Lab Children in the four year old class attend Computer lab every Wednesday morning. Children in the three year old classes attend the computer lab every other Wednesday, beginning in October. |

Daily Activities Art activities: Children use crayons, scissors, paper, paint, glue and other art materials often making a craft that reinforces a unit of study. Free play: A time that encourages socialization, role-play, and independent decision-making. Clean-up: Children learn to be responsible for their own environment. Snack time: A time to practice good table manners and learn about good nutrition. Group time: A time to improve listening and thinking skills while exploring Language, Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Music. Physical Education: Indoor and outdoor playground activities designed to promote gross motor coordination. |

2008-2009 Calendar We will be closed for a fall break October 20-October 24, 2008. |

Orientation Orientation house will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Students and parents are scheduled to visit their classroom and meet their teacher. Each student will receive their invitation by mail from their teacher by early August. Each student will receive a tote bag at open house to be used as their book bag throughout the school year. A current record of immunizations (GA form #3231) for each student, must be on file prior to the first day of preschool. |

Registration This NON REFUNDABLE fee is due at registration time and is in addition to the monthly tuition. Registration for the 2009-10 school year will begin in early February 2009. Please call the preschool for registration forms. |

Tuition Tuition is due by the first school day of every month. A late charge of $5.00 must be included with your tuition when it is paid after the 7th of the month. Tuition cannot be pro-rated due to absences, holidays or inclement weather. We operate on a nine-month basis and tuition is paid accordingly. |

Withdrawal from the program One month's written notice to the director of St. Oliver’s Preschool is required for withdrawal from the program. |
