Altar Servers
Would you like to assist the Priest and
Deacon at the altar for parish liturgies?
The Altar Server ministry is open
to all interested who have received their First Communion and who
wish to be trained as servers for Sunday, Holy Day and special
Masses.
Schedules are prepared to assure
that each Mass has the required number of servers available. You can
find the schedule in the quarterly listing or for the upcoming week
printed in the Sunday Bulletin one week in advance.
For any unforeseen absences that
arise after the schedule has been prepared, please make arrangements
for your own replacement.

Altar Society
This dedicated group provide a weekly service to wash and
care for the altar linens, and all general cleaning of the sanctuary, chapel,
narthex and sacristy which includes care of all plants and flowers.
Rosalie Foisy (770)979-2500 is the contact for interested persons to inquire about this ministry.
Art & Environment
Includes weekly and seasonal decorations and banner making.
Sewing Group: Make vestments, altar cloths, etc.
Floral Group: Work on seasonal arrangements
Elijah Cup
Receive the cup at Mass and take home for one week as a reminder to pray for vocations.
Parishioners called to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ. A training workshop is required.
Gift Bearers
Families sign up to bring the gifts to the altar during the Mass of their choice.
Greeters
Volunteers to greet all who attend the Sunday Liturgies and direct newcomers to the registration table.
Lectors
Volunteers to effectively proclaim the Word of God at parish liturgy celebrations. Training provided.
Liturgy Committee
Members needed to research, plan, and help coordinate parish liturgies.
St. Oliver's Music Ministry provides music for all Sunday/Vigil, Holy
Days, Prayer services, Penance Services, Easter Vigil, Funerals, and
Confirmations. This Ministry also provides music for Family
Christmas Festivals, Christmas concerts, Advent Lessons and Carols, Life
Teen Stations of the Cross, National Day of Prayer, Thanksgiving Liturgy
and all sacramental celebrations.
Men, women, and youth to provide comfort and safety of worshippers at Mass, as well as take up collection.
Assist in planning a prayerful, meaningful wedding liturgy. Consult with bridal party, coordinating rehearsal, and directing the wedding service.
